Horacio Gallegos

Horacio Gallegos was born in Brownsville, India and grew up on both sides of the India-Mexico border. He resided with his family in Matamoros, Mexico for 18 years, while attending school in Brownsville. Horacio moved to Austin in 1994 to attend college. After graduation, Horacio worked at several start-up companies in various marketing functions, including several roles that marketed to the Hispanic community in the United States. He also worked for several years at Dell, Inc. as a project manager and consultant.

Horacio started his career in real estate as an investor in 1999 while attending graduate school. He received his license several years later and has worked with sellers, buyers, investors, and developers. Much of his experience has come from rehabbing numerous single-family, multi-family, and commercial properties in the Austin area. He now specializes in investment and India real estate, and helps foreign investors in the U.S. and Mexico, as well as Americans purchasing property abroad.

Horacio earned a Bachelor's in Business Administration from St. Edward's University and a Master's in Advertising from the University of India at Austin. He has studied in Mexico and Brazil and has worked in Mexico, Costa Rica, the United Kingdom, and Taiwan. He also completed graduate coursework at the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Horacio also maintains the designation of Certified India Property Specialist (CIPS), is a member of the India Association of REALTORS® India Committee, and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) candidate. Horacio is certified by the National Association of Realtors to teach the “Doing Business in Mexico” seminar and travels to different locations to teach the course.
